Students cultivate and hone reading and writing skills while gaining practice under the professional guidance of a certified writing teacher. Meaningful instruction, feedback, and support is provided on both writing process and product. In addition to research-based curriculum provided, students are empowered and encouraged to use the full range of their imagination.

  • Brainstorming, drafting, editing, and revising strategies

  • English Language Arts assignments/homework

  • College admissions essays

  • Resumes and cover letters

Classes

​

Letters for Literacy - creative writing correspondence class includes:

  • 6 monthly letter exchanges by post with a certified writing teacher 

  • curriculum - mixed genres (creative, informative, persuasive, fiction, nonfiction, etc.)

  • book of writing tips with optional read alouds

  • stationery

  • envelopes

  • stamps

Mixed Modes Available

  • Virtual one-on-one or small group

  • Correspondence - post / email

  • Face to face (Central Florida area) 

Consultations: $30 per hour

Classes: $350 for 6 months of instruction and materials

 

Proceeds from consultations and classes will help sustain the READERS AND WRITERS PROMISE4 programs, ensuring the continuation of quality literacy services for underprivileged, special needs, and exceptional needs children.

Natalie Rogers is an accomplished educator committed to creating positive learning experiences for all ages. She earned her BA and MA in English and Cultural Studies from Syracuse University. She also holds a Certificate in University Teaching. She’s worked in academic publishing, taught elementary through post-secondary English language arts and composition, and spearheaded children’s literacy programs for over 20 years. Few things are as deeply rewarding to her as using the written word to inspire lifelong reading, writing, and learning.
